Wood is one of the original and most traditional forms of fuel but over the last 300 years it has been replaced by fossil fuels like coal, gas, oil and electricity.
However, wood is a perfect source of renewable energy and has many environmental benefits.
When burnt efficiently wood produces virtually no smoke and is ‘carbon neutral' which means it does not add to the greenhouse gases, which are associated with global warming.
If harvested from sustainable sources, wood is a completely renewable source of energy. Sustainable sources of firewood promote the active management of woodland which hugely benefits the environment, countryside and wildlife, and can even create jobs in the local community.
We also offer a stacking service.
